The inauguration ceremony of the Maison de la Korea took place on 14 December in the presence of Ms. YOO Eun-Hae, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Jong-Moon Choi, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to France, Mr. Gilles Pécout, Rector of the Academic Region of Ile-de-France and Paris and Chancellor of the Universities of Paris, Mr. Jean-Marc Sauvé, Honorary Vice-President of the Conseil d'Etat and President of the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris and Mr. Philippe Content, Deputy Director General of Eiffage Construction.
After two years of work, Eiffage Construction’s teams awarded the keys of the Maison de la Korea, a 13,000m² student residence in R+8 of 252 rooms located in Boulevard Jourdan Paris (14) in the heart of the Cité internationale universitaire, to the Korea House Association.
The prefabricated white self-cleaning concrete residence is designed for a very high energy performance Effinergie that meets the City of Paris Climate Plan (RT 2012-20%) for housing and is plowed Habitat & Environment.
Residents will be able to enjoy all the benefits offered by the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris, including education, recreation and cultural events during their stay at the Maison de la Korea de Paris.
